For everyone who is interested in purchasing Sonic merchandise: t-shirts, hats, towels, accessories, etc...I am expecting the first delivery a week from Tuesday. The on line web store will open on the Sonic website shortly afterwards. Let me know if there is anything in particular you are looking for and I will try and find it for you.

That is the new logo. Used for advertising. We made a decision to keep the old logo colors for brand recognition.

BUT, there are going to be different variations of the prints in different colors, and some with just the Sonic name (without the boat or banner). For example, the logo you saw won't look good on a red shirt.

The embroidery is going to be some in full color and some tone on tone. Thread colors are easily changed depending on the color of the garment.

The shape and look of the Sonic name will remain the same. Sonic is an iconic name and can be identified simply by the shape of the letters.

We are going to have t-shirts from the Poker Runs with all different prints. We are starting with the basics and hoping to build on your, the Sonic owners and fans, suggestions.

Not everyone is going to like everything, but there will be something for everyone.

Additionally, you will be able to email me (you can now too) and give me suggestions of what you want to see. I hope you will, too.

So, before you start throwing tomatoes, give me suggestions. I promise to do my best to offer a variety of merchandise that meets with everyone's tastes.

That keychain is made out of that thick foamy rubber material, right? That is like the one I was looking to order but I want to be certain that whichever one I get will not scratch the paint on the boat. I am waiting on a couple of samples to see tomorrow. Also, about decals. I am ordering them too. I was going to get the kind that stick and the kind that are removable, about the same size as the picture on the back window shown on the thread about 42 sonic. I was thinking of maybe getting bigger ones for the bumper that are removable, like those yellow ribbon ones that everyone was putting on the back of their cars. I need feedback on travel coffee mugs. Do you prefer all stainless steel or would you like them in colors like black, red, purple, gold...etc.

Please give me feedback. I already got great feedback on kids tees. For boys, Chris came up with "My hot boat is better than your hot boat" and for girls , I thought, "Don't you wish your boat was hot like mine?"
All interested in that, let me know. Some women might want the girls' one too.

Also I am doing, for women, tanks and baby tees with the Sonic name done in Swarovski crystals. I had one sample made and it looks fantastic. Cigarette does it but they use fake crystals.


I am doing embroidered tote/duffle bags. Do women want their own more feminine bags?

Bandannas...hats fly off, I like wearing them on the boat. How do you and your wives/girlfriends feel about them. Yes, I am doing baseball caps. Suggestions??

We took the arch off the logo because it isn't standard anymore.

If enough people request it, I can eventually do "vintage tees" with an older Sonic boat with an arch. Maybe a new model zipping along in flat water with a reflection of it, but the reflection can be the older model...just a thought...I will look through the warehouse to see what may be left from the old merchandise and I will get back to those who are interested. I can't make any promises of getting them, but I do promise to look.

Change the new logo back to the old. The new one is awful. I am sure that a lot of people like myself would like to buy tee shirts with the old logo. If you have any of the old I would be very interested. Please post or e-mail a list what you find.

Did you read the entire posts concerning the logo or did you just look at the pictures?

I posted so much information about products and items I want to put out and most everyone is participating with constructive criticism.

Are there any other boat companies that go on line in the forums and say, "Hey, guys, what do you want on you t-shirts? What kind of items do you want?"

I came on line and posted in the forum to get ideas and feedback at the risk of being beat up.

I will see if there are any old tees in the warehouse...like I said in another post.

For the benefit of those who have not read the entire posts already printed, we are starting small to find out what you like.

Everyone will not like everything. But there will be something for everyone.

Don't beat me up. I'll go away...just kidding.

Please go back and read the posts and give me ideas of what items you want in the store. don't get SO CAUGHT UP with the logo picture that you saw...there are going to be MANY DIFFERENT VERSIONS.

Angela, I think you're doing a great job and I appreciate you taking the time to search out suggestions. I personally like the boat logo w/ the arch and the old sonic font. If you find an old style yellow/gold or purple baseball style hat or the long sleeve tee's in the warehouse I'd buy them. As for the new logo,,, consider adding the arch... I'll be at the Chesapeake Bay Poker Run so I'll be looking for ya... :cool:

Another suggestion...

A couple of years ago at the Miami Boat Show (before CSI) I got a short sleeve, 100% cotton, button down collar shirt with a pocket on the left side. The Sonic logo (old one w/arch) was over the pocket. "Life's short, Go Fast, No Compromises" layered on three rows was on the right side and a large Sonic logo was on the back of the shirt.

Thanks for your work to get the merchandise store up and running again. It will undoubtedly take awhile and you won't be able to please everyone, but it's nice to know someone is trying to re-establish the brand name. Keep up the good work!!

I am going to do more with just the SONIC name and OFFSHORE PERFORMANCE. Rebuilding a company is a lot of work, let alone setting up merchandise. Fortunately, we have a great product, facilities, staff and employees. Everyone is very dedicated, so getting production up and running has taken less than 10 months. Now, in other news, I met Cliff from Fat Towels at the CBPBA Poker Run this weekend, and he will be doing our towels. I am just going to have them embroidered with what I said above, and it will be the font from the website, AKA "old font". I apologize for how long everything is taking. I am trying really hard to get it right, up and running. I have "parted ways" with the t-shirt guy I originally contracted. We had major miscommunications as per "delivery time". Believe it or not, he doesn't use a calender with the typical 12 months in a year, 30/31 days. His timeline is to the rest of the world's standard timeline what dog years are to people years. I had to multiply by 7 to calculate an actual delivery date for anything. As for the logo...(and I don't want to hear any more wining), no matter what I do, there will be people who don't like it. The reason I put that boat in the logo was so that when people who are not familiar with this type of boating read your t-shirt, they would know Sonic is fast boats, not fast food. I didn't use the arch b/c it isn't standard anymore. We have sold a couple recently with arches, but most of them do not have them. (personally, I like the arch) So, I will simply add OFFSHORE PERFORMANCE, so that when " Mr. Guy/Gal On the Street" reads your t-shirt, they won't be wondering "where the beef is"..............unless you give them a reason to... :)

Angela keep up the good work you can't make everyone happy I'm just glad to see that Sonic is back and looking for feed back to make it's customers happy everything you mentioned so far sounds great i personally would like some flex fit hats with sonic on both side so when you where it backwards looks bad ass with the little sonic logo

Flex fit hats...GREAT idea...logo both sides...what color hats? I just finished some towels that look so GOOD!!! I am going to be using Fat Towels, but I had to get some out. I have full color embroidery,a sort of tone on tone with a mixture of metallics and flat color in white, grey, pewter, dk grey silver and black, but the one that I am trying now, I think will really be cool. I am doing the whole thing in silver, grey, pewter, black, white, all metallic except the SONIC name and OFFSHORE PERFORMANCE. I did that in color. The silver reflects and picks up whatever color it is near. It really looks fantastic. I have already started doing customized embroidery for people. I have been embroidering boat names and team names on shirts and I am having womens purple jackets embroidered as well. BTW, we ARE getting the webstore up and running shortly. You didn't miss me. I saw you pulling awayfrom the dock in your new boat and got some great shots. I am going to post them on the website shortly. I am trying to keep all merchandise "made in the USA" if possible. Your boat is beautiful. I LOVE the arch!

Has anyone heard from Angela recently ?

I was in daily email conversations with her about merchandise over a month ago. She emailed me a brochure of the new things that came in and were available. I picked the stuff I wanted and sent her a check. It was only a shirt, some coozies, and some key chains. The check was cashed and I have not heard back from her ever since ?? I've sent multiple emails checking on the status of the order, and even asking if everything was OK with her since I hadn't received any replies at all.

First, I hope all is well with her personally. Second, I hope all is well with Sonic ?

Can't say I had the same experience with ordering. Ordered about 2 weeks ago, order didn't go through (message indicated problem w/site). Couple days later I tried again, order went through, printed receipt (thought merch. was on it's way).
Two weeks later I look at receipt I printed and noticed it said (eventhough it showed I ordered) someone will call you to process order manually (never got a call). Left a message on Sonics voicemail Wednesday.
What's going on with Sonic's merchandise program??????

Wow! Talk about service.
I just looked in my mailbox and my order from Sonic (2 shirts) arrived. Someone reacted to my message.
Shirts look great (haven't tried them on yet to see if they fit).
I wish the old regime of Sonic (Fred, Joe H. & Richard H.) would have reacted this quick regarding the problems I had with my boat.
When I look back I see that best time to have bought a Sonic would have been either during the Jay Ross era or present day (not between that time). Unfortunately I bought mine during that time.
I will wear my shirts proudly (and will look at purchasing more merch. in the future).
Thank you to whomever at Sonic stepped up and listened to my voicemail or read this post. I do appreciate it!

Kim is now in charge of sonic merchandise. ordered 4 t-shirts from her. only 1 showed up . she called me and said they were redoing the silk screen for the colors to come out better , just received the shirts today after waitng for 1 week longer and wow!!! they look awsome and she even hooked me up for me waiting patienty with a hat !!! sonic at their best!!!
