Re: Sonic 31 SS opinions
I love my 2006 31ss. It is a dream to run.
When the going gets rough I have yet to be passed. |
Re: Sonic 31 SS opinions
I will probably buy one from 1999-2001, 502's or 500's, however, Im a little interested in a 1995, the only problem there for me is I didnt want to go that old, but they dont look any diff to me, there is a nice one on ebay that is procharged, I think I would rather buy one with stock motors, so I would no if i did any blower/supercharger that it would be done right

Re: Sonic 31 SS opinions
Hello
Have a 2001 31 with 500 HP's and love it. Moved up from a 26 Prowler and have to say it is twice the boat of the 26 and is the fastest boat on the bay when the wind is kicking and the seas are 3-5 feet. You will not be disappointed with it. |
Re: Sonic 31 SS opinions
gofastsonic what speeds and props are you running with the 500 hp's ?
|
Re: Sonic 31 SS opinions
GofastSonic, What made you go w/ the 31 and not 35,38,42. Just courous because I have a 26 and am starting to think about moving up?
|
Re: Sonic 31 SS opinions
Hello
As far as props go I have Labbed 26,s wich run at the limmiter and get about 80 in salt water. I just got a set of Labbed 28,s to try and will see how they work. A friend that has Wuzup Racing want's me to try a set of 2" shorties and 5 blades to see if we can get a little more out of it but have to wait for some nicer weather here in New Jersey. As far as going from the 26 to the 31 I loved my 26 and Got a great deal on the 31 with 454's and then stole $11000.00 the 500 hp's so just had to go that way. I love the 31 and have heard that the 358 is a problem hull from a frind who sold Sonic for years and said either the 31 or just go for the 38. |
Re: Sonic 31 SS opinions
GoFastSonic
did you go with 500 carbs or 500efi's? did you do the swap? how difficult was it to swap motors? Jeff |
Re: Sonic 31 SS opinions
I have a set of EFI's and the swap was pretty much easy even the mounts worked. My friend at Wuzup racing did the whole thing and even sold my 454's for $8000.00 which was awsome. I put all new CMI Exhaust on because the stuff that came with the 500's was 4 years old and did not want any trouble.

Re: Sonic 31 SS opinions
hp500efi, What's with the"soon to be bigger" in your avatar,is that in regard to your current power in your 31? Inquiring minds :drink: Steve

I can give it to you, but just wondering why that is important ? As Always, JOHNNY ROGGIO it had more hours. I made an offer, but it was rejected. I was just curious if this was the same boat. You have a good looking boat! |
