Thanks,
As of now fire my fuel guy, My mechanic is trying to find me some type of mushroom style filter that will not allow the fuel to rise above it.

sloman my paint job on my 2002 31 sonic is very similar to yours !! I also painted the vents looks real nice !! my problem is I keep the boat in the water (fresh) a week at a time and found all the yellow paint only has blistered !!!!!! same thing happened with my 26 sonic with the yellow paint !!!!! don't know what to do to fix the problem.

Sloman 03-08-2007 01:19 PM

I was told that Sonic does not use the best clear coat that is why i had the fuel eat through it I would look into re clearring the sides I will try to get the name of the clear you should use there is some stuff out there that is almost bullet proof the water has to get through the clear before it can eat the yellow you may want to pm Mitcher T I'm sure he has some good suggetions

Very, very, very, nice job...nice to see the outcome when it's done the right way:cool:

Let me know what you find out about the clear. I am going to have to reod the paintwork on the top deck as it is peeling. We also want to redo the paintwork on both sides so as to lose the name painted on it ( at a later date).
