Sonic won't be any help on this boat. It is too old for the current staff to know much. A picture would be a help and more specifically what it is you are asking about. What engines are in the boat? Genset? AC/Heat? What drives ( I'm assuming TRS) Arch?

Generic: 41SE with 454 420's TRS drives on a good day low to maybe mid 60's. Fuels tanks are located under the main floor. Should be one on each side of the main stringer. Water should be port side don't quite remember (look for filler). Hot water heater starboard side in front of engine (if equipped).

thanks you have answered several of my questions... It has 477 chevy's with prochargers genset is out to locate the innercoolers.. What did they have from the factory? I have the total hookup including muffler etc sitting there to be reconnected... I am pulling the chargers and going back to carbs only the setup is old and outdated making like 3.5 psi on the top....water heater must have been yanked also I know it is not in the engine bay....I assume the pump for the head etc...is also under the main floor? I can't pull the floor up since the seat is still in the boat and I have it shrink wrapped at the moment...jersey weather in march is sometimes crazy and I don't want to chance cutting the boat open yet so the floor will stay for the time... I also would like to know if this style is being made as of now? I do see the new sonics that look a whole lot like this that are 2000's and up reason is I want to update the upholstery... I need a headliner etc...would rather buy ot from sonic than have onr made and not be right.....Also looking for the wind fairing to get rid of the glass......Boat is as follows 1987 Sonic se 41' has the arch colors are black red gray and white lots of mirror and black acrylic in cabin has or had heat and a/c genset stand up shower.. dock lights remote search light speakers everywhere trs drives k planes boat seems to have had no money spared in it's day but is due for up grade through out...hull is decent has some chips in gelcoat here and ther still sports factory paint ....do for a repaint as well...I will post pics soon Thanks again guys Tom

WOW! how crazy is that!!! that is the twin to yours! how did you like it? can you tell me the pros and cons? we want to use it for weekend cruising in Elkton md on the C&D canal tie my jetski's to the back and relax....I sold our summer home and our Baja outlaw and honestly was looking for a cruiser to live a board on the weekends...then this came up and we loved the space etc...it was sort of a fire sale with no real time to check it totally out well....I just hope I did the right thing.....Tom

It was a nice boat. It had 454/420s with TRSs. TRSs were getting hard to find. It had a genset, microwave, fridge, heat/AC, stand up shower and all the things I learned to love about the Sonic. Especially the head room....you could have a party in the cabin. The only downside was that it was a pig....60s at best. Used to take it up to Georgetown (DC) every weekend. Hope you will enjoy yours.
