anyone have any idea what top speed this 42 sonic with 500 hp's will do mph ???

A buddy bought a 97/ 42/ 500HP's last year and claims it hits 72....never seen it, not sure I believe it either!!! Just finished 540's so he should have no problem with 72 this year!!!!

If it's the one in Oswego I can tell u it's PERFECT!!!...the owner's name is Trigg...he's as meticulous as they come...it's a great boat and it's been treated very,very well.Mike

Russ it was 71 and you were on the boat, 3-4 ft chop. T broke a drive not long after that but it ran it. It does have 540's now and Russ is going to get a pic. of the front of my boat to put on his dash because he is going to get tired of seeing the transom.

My 2000 42 always ran 69, took for ever to hit 70 and that was on a good day, light with fuel, and a 20 mph tail wind.:D
