STEPPED Hull 386

Press release From Sonic.
CSI Marine took on the Sonic line of high Performance boats back in 2005 . Sonic has come a long way in the last year and a half with new paint and graphics by EFX, new exterior upholstery designed by Fineline Interiors, new dash panels with monster gauges and new interiors with softer fabrics.

We have upgraded the web site with all new photos of each model and the site is continually updated with news, events and it even includes new editions to the clothing line.

Sonic has been attending Poker runs all over the country with the 42 Sonic last year and with the 45 and 38 this year.

We have listened to our customers; they want speed with reliable power.

Now at last Sonic will be offering a Step bottom and this will be unveiled at the 2007 Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show in October.

Sonic has commissioned John Cosker whose claim to fame includes the Callan race boat. John Specializes in stepped hull design for production powerboats. A few of John's projects include boats that run over 225 MPH and has worked with some of the icons in the high performance boating world including Fabio Bussi and Tom Gentry.

The 38 STS Sonic will be the first to offer the step bottom . This will be an option so for those die hard sonic fans the traditional hull is still available.

If you would like to hear more about these new and exiting hulls give us a call as we are now taking orders on the new 38 Step.

Great, but I'd just like to be able to get a hatch handle for my 2000 45 I have been waiting on for over a month:(

Thanks for the posting, can't wait to see the results! Good to hear they might start taking the Sonic line to the next level with hull design and interior work.

Working with sonic on parts, retrofits, materials seems to be a common concern with many owners. There doesn't seem to be a process in place to track our calls for followup and completion. It normally takes several calls until you reach the right person, though frustrating, they usually come through in the end.

I've been wanting vinyl rework done with the Sonic embroidery on the seats and hatch logo....... they couldn't do it this past winter, but said they would be retooled for next winter.... I'm trusting they will come through! Go SONIC!!!

Lenny, Any testing yet? Are there any plans of stagger setups?

Hi as you can see by the press release we are still in the design stage right now. This is going to take time to get it right. We plan on having a boat for the Ft Lauderdale show in October .

Looking For More Speed :)
A Good Idea Would Be A Poker Run Twinn Stepp With Only A Head And 2 Bench Seat's And V Berth Pad.
It Will Still Have Plenty Of Room Inside The Cabin But It Will Save A Lot Of Weght Witch Will Make The Boat Even Faster :)
Good Luck I Can't Wait To See It And How She Performs
I Guess Next Year We Will Have To Post Something Like This
" I Have A 2004 38 Straight Bottom " With Twinn 525's
Again Good Luck And Yes Speed Is The Altimate Rush

version ?

hpoffshore 05-07-2007 01:28 PM

26 & 31 probably won't change, as they run fine just the way they are.
