What year was the infusion process started on the 386's?
 

What year did they start using the infusion process on the 386 ?

I was told the "end of" model year 2002 386's and 31ss were with the new vacumn infusion process, in 2003 all models were built using the new process. If it's a 2002 you may want to get the hull number and check it with sonic.

I don't know if EVERY 2003 boat had Infusion vacuum bagging done. ZO6 is right, that they started at the end of 2002 with the hull only of the 386 and 31SS. Eventually they installed the system on all three molds of all 6 models; but it did not happen immediately.

I was at the Sonic factory in September of 2003,
and they were just getting ready to infuse the
first 31ss.

My boat was delivered may '02 so its the old style lay up. Not sure I really want one of the first infusion boats anyway.
