31, how fast?
 

Is anyone running a 31 with 496 HO's in it ? I was wondering how fast the boat runs and how the overall performance is , such as planeing, midrange, etc.

Come on, somebody's got to have an idea.:throw:

My 31ss (496HO's) with RADAR arch, Bimini top, two people, full water, and full fuel runs 64Kts (72MPH) on GPS. I am running 26P and it is on the rev limiter. At 3500RPM it
cruses at 50 to 52 MPH depending upon sea conditions.

The boat does require trim unless the sea conditions are really sloppy or you have to go 25MPH in a "boating safety area".
I jumps right up on plane. All you have to do in a turn is crank the wheel and hang on. It runs like it is on rails.

I just finished a series of runs out in the ocean, and I get about
1.5MPG at 3500RPM. When I run on the inside I get about 2 MPG. That is probable due to the slow speed zones.

I have a 2002 with no radar arch and I have the same motors and props as myturn. I see the same speeds. I agree great boat and cabin room is very family friendly.

No, it came from Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. I bought it before unlimited marine became a sonic dealer.
