30/31 w/ Ouboards?
 

Anyone have any more info on this boat? This pic was posted on another forum; taken in the Northern Chesapeake Bay area.

are you sure it is a 30? I have seen a 28 with outboards and it looked huge!

It is a 30' It was custom built by the previous owner. I talked to the current owner at Watermans in Rock Hall this past Sunday. He had two strokes on it last year and put the 275 verodos on this year. Cruise is around 40 mph. I believe he said top speed was around 64 or 66mph. Had a ton of room in the copit.

That Sonic looks sharp! Love the cockpit space on an OB model.

Maybe Sonic should look at this boat for ideas! It seems to be a real attention getter.:D I know I like all the cockpit room and still runs a reasonable speed. I wonder though how the balance and landing of the boat was effected by all the weight being so far back??

When I talked d to the owner he never said anything about the handling. He did say that it was two mph faster with the two strokes, the fuel economy was great with the Verodos. He's on the upper bay alot. Next time I see him I'll get more info.

I don't think I would ever buy one, BUT, that looks like a very workable and usable setup.

I much rather walk around them then lay under them!:D I still like my sterndrives though!!!!

The space is nice, but I still need the big block sound.

Outboards wouldn't piss off my neighbor enough.
