We had a 2001 358 with 500efi's and XR drives running 28 pitch B1's. Our boat would porpoise if I trimed out under 4000rpm's. Yes you could use alittle tab to stop the porpoise at slower speeds but if you drive trough it the boat is great. I also used alittle tab to have the boat hop on plane. The boat was great we just wanted a larger cockpit and a larger engine room. That is why we moved to a 386.
