386 Speeds

Hello all, I have been looking at the 386s and have a few questions about speed.

The ones I have been looking at are all early 2000s and the one that has piqued my interest is one with 525s and ITS boxes running 4 blades turing out

I ahve yet to be able to get in touch with the owner but was wanting to get a sanity check prior to talking with them

Thanks

It also has all the options I am looking for except Genny, how difficult is it to add one after the fact to the 386s

Thanks again

on the low end of those #s
before " i think " 2003 they had a heavier lay up .
now thay vacoom infuse suposed to save 10 % in weight. that's close to 1000 lbs

my 2004 with the lighter lay up . best top end speed was 73-74 mph " 525 efi itsxr 26 pitch 4 blade labbed prop's

2000 386 with 500'sEFI's 76.8 on the GPS Boxes 4 blades turning in. I would think that number would be pretty close because we had a little more HP than stock on our rebuild.

I saw just under 83 GPS once on my 386 - stock 525's, xr's, 4 blade. Perfect day - lo temps, running on fumes, me only, light chop. Haven't seen it since. Normally see 73-76 WOT with 1 person, 1/2 tanks gas. 70 is no problem with 2 people and all your stuff on board. Cruzin' 45 - 55 is best.

Adding a Genny is not a problem. Once you get the thru hulls cut for water intake and exhaust and the other parts together (muffler, hoses, clamps, siphon tube, battery, cables, battery box, etc.) you can do it in a day or so.
