Wally 03-18-2008 11:49 AM

um...ok...it started out as a wellcraft but now its a sonic? LOL
wonder with all those "mods" if the structural integrity of the boat has been weakened in any way.....

myturn 03-18-2008 02:04 PM

It sure doesn't look like a 26. The paint job is pre 1995.
I don't think Sonic made a 26 before 1997/1998.

rangerrick63 03-18-2008 03:40 PM

Well that just figures.....Just when I get a 26 Sonic, this comes available.....that's just the way my luck goes...

It's truly amazing what folks will try to sell on ebay....:Whatever:

& to think, I'm an "EBAY JUNKIE"....:D

tfarmer 03-18-2008 04:43 PM

Looks like I paid way to much for my SONIC.
Man what a joker!

GO4BROKE 03-18-2008 08:07 PM

$25K buy it now is a great deal......

It looks like hooked on phonics worked for him.. ;) I wonder if his buddy who has the corvette shop is as sharp as he is?? :evilb:

I like how it was stripped for weight, but then they added a 100 & 20 gallon fuel tank along with 2 20 gallon water tanks..

Best of all it looks like a 100 thousand dollar sonic boat !!! :Whatever:

But act now and please be serious because he will entertain trades, but NO junk because this kind of boat is very nice and it took over 70k to customize this $hitbox that will outrun twin bigblocks.. !!!

LOL :D I think I just pizzed my self from reading this!! Quick someone buy this so he can go and get an "edjumakation".. lol.... :D

Deliverance clip

Z06 03-20-2008 10:17 PM

Someone should steal it and send it through the wood chipper :p

I just can't amagine anyone going through that much work on a Wellcraft! I hope the original owner can now afford a real Sonic, because he sure had a very very strong desire to own one.

hpoffshore 03-21-2008 12:33 PM

....just threw-up a little in my mouth....

SOX 03-21-2008 07:30 PM

I LOVE IT!!!!

" Q: So it was originaly a wellcraft but now your calling it a Sonic? whats the title state it as? how about the Hull ID numbers?
Answered on Mar-18-08
A: as i stated in the discription this is a sonic clone , built by an expert boat builder , its still titled as a wellcraft with the matching hull id numbers "

This guy thinks it is a "CLONE"!!!! What a jole!

I do like the custom cup holders on the floor under the seats.

I can't quite make out the hull details this guy made with all the bottom paint in the way. What a joke.

Yah!... Ya see, Kind of like if you were to take a Buick or Caddy & put some silver paint on her along with one of them stars from a Mercedes, then you have a Mercedes clone that was professionally done, but titled as a GM.. :hitfan:... :angry-smiley-038:

I've been a motor guy for many, many years now..... but right now........ I am stumped.

WTF is a rotator eliminator?

"also they did the heads had been machined for x tra large stainless valves and high performance springs and rotator elemanators !"

This guy will be lucky to get the 12k bid on this POS. I would not feel good about buying something like this from someone who obviously thinks he knows more than he does.

This guy must be a crack head... A rotator cup is placed under the valve spring and used only in non performance heads. A rotatoreliminator is placed there when a bigger spring is being used. He could of spent a little more money
and bought a set of aftermarket heads that will work 10 times better!! I hope I never see this thing and if I do Im getting out of the way.

I'm LMFAO!!!!!! My girl just asked,"wtf is soooo funny?" Good find! :Score-101010:

tblrklakemo 03-22-2008 10:55 PM

How come its always a "friend" of the seller that run the add? Scetchy right from the start.........common street sense.

GO4BROKE 03-23-2008 06:46 AM

I'd give him a grand for it, just to use for a bay boat. Good conversation starter!

WaterJunkie 03-23-2008 11:32 AM

Must have got a lot of extra speed with all that shaved weight and bottom paint. LMAO!!

I've heard of spring cups, put under springs.... some have used them for shims, others use them only on aluminum heads so the heavier springs dont dig into the head. But never heard of a rotator eliminator.... even on stock heads. The machine shop I worked in, I did alot of the stock head rebuilds... never heard of these things. Not saying they dont exist or calling anyone a liar, cause its been almost 15 years since I worked there.... maybe they are a new thing??

But yeah, I agree.... if you see this thing on the water, best get far from it. LOL

GO4BROKE 03-23-2008 07:51 PM

Thats not bottem paint, its speed coat! Probably blackened by the extreme speed!

go propless 04-05-2008 10:36 AM

WTF was this hillbilly thinking???

I had to post something so this thread would be back on top for more to see. LMAO:cool-smiley-027:
