Questions for 28 or 31 owners...
I took a look at a few Sonics over the w/e.
1) I noticed that the aluminum everywhere on these boats (1 - 3 years old) was really tarnished...it this common? 2) The other thing I noticed is that the small adjustable interior lights were all rusted, even a brand new boat I looked at had some rust starting on these lights - is that common. 3) The interior seats are hard as hell. Is it comfortable lounging around inside when you're tied up overnight? 4) The seats are really thick and use up a lot of valuable cockpit space. believe me guys, I'm 6'2" and 190 lbs and don;t have a big butt, but my butt was in the seat pretty right. Do these tight seats get uncomfortable. 5) I did not see a drain hole in the bathroom floor, where is it if you want to sit and shower off? The hardness of the seats and upholstery was the biggest thing I noticed. Do you folks just get used to it? thanks, - jeff |
I have not noticed that the seats were too hard in my 35, they have always seemed very comfortable to us.
I did see a 31 in Maryland a couple of years ago that had the corrosion on the lights that you are talking about. I don't know of anyone in my area with this problem. I was thinking that it was a problem maybe in the salt water areas. As for the drain hole, that's funny, I thought the same thing when I got my boat, but it's under the curtain where it snaps to the wall. Good luck! |

My 97 has no corrosion of any kind. But I agree the seats are a little firm. But they also dont show any wear after 5 years:D
