Anyone had this problem
Check my thread out in the tech forum, but my tach and gas gauges are eratic when im running?

I would say batteries and Just for the hell of it ck the back of the gauges to make sure all is tight....Thats were I would start....

Those are new tachs in the boat. I have the old ones. Replaced due to "bouncing" issue. My Sonic's starboard tach does/did? the same thing. Hopefully with new gauges it went away.
Check all grounds starting with battery, especially under dash. Then as most agree replace plug wires. |

I vote ground. Bad plug wires shouldn't effect the fuel gages.

Fixed my bouncing tach issue had bad plug wires. Two wires ohm'ed out bad but never had a miss in either engine.

Check harness plug.I was having the same problem with an oil press. gauge.Replaced wires,sender(twice)and the gauge.None of that worked. Pulled the harnes aprt cleaned with carb cleaner and a Q tip an problem solved.

I have this problem with my starboard tack and volt meter.
Everything runs OK. It only does it sometimes. |
