Well,

The trip is on. I just picked up my boat at Sonic
for some service. I will be leaving for Alexandria, VA
May 16, 2008.

Where are you staying? And how long will you be here??

I have a place at Marina Towers. I am keeping the boat
at Hope Springs Marina which is just South of Quantico.
I plan on heading back South in late July or early August.

We made it to Hope Springs Marina today at 1300 today.
The trip was 1070 miles and six days (one day layover in Norfolk due to weather). It was a great trip though I am not sure I would do
it again because of the slow speed zones.

We will post pictures later.

What are your plans for the upcoming weekend??

I have had enough boating for a few days. I plan to
give the boat a through cleaning and inspection Sunday.
Wednesday I am flying home. I will be back in mid June.
I want to go by our condo at 70 plus on my next trip back.

I am still recovering from all of the slow speed zones in GA,
SC, and NC. They are worse than South Florida. Someone needs
to teach people if you build next airport you should not
complain about the noise.

By the way I made it from Norfolk to Hope Springs in
three and a half hours. A half hour was spent avoiding
a Navy live fire exercise. The Potomac is beautiful!
