Sonic 358 Berth Measurement
Would appreciate if someone could provide me a meausement of the forward berth. Basically, measure from the mirror back to where mattress ends. Also how much space is lost due to the partial bulkhead? Height from mattress to overhead?
Just wondering how much more space is available vs the 31ss. Thanks for your time!!!! |
Anyone??

I will try to get those numbers for you this evening when I get home, will post tomorrow.

386 and 358 cabin/v berth dimensions are the same.
|
V-berth measures 6'10". Height is 2'2". Partial bulkhead is 6.5" wide. Measurements from my 386.

Thanks dcb!!! Really appreciate your time!

45Sonic - where is the extra length? In the cockpit? I assumed the cabin of the 386 would be slightly larger than the 358. Interesting info.
|
The 358 and 386 from the bolsters forward are the same. The extra space is behind the bolsters as the 386 was setup to accept triples.....
|
The 358 has the same size cockpit and smaller engine compartment as a 31. The 386 has a big engine compartment and cockpit. Room for 4 bolsters if you want. That was an option, but I've never seen one. Even with trips its cockpit is bigger than the 31 or 358.
|
Crazy Gregg had the additional bolsters.
|
When we got our 386 it was 1.5 feet longer in the cockpit and 1.5 feet longer in the bilge, then our 358. I looked into having our engines staggered but the cockpit was going to be about 4" bigger then a 358. this is what Sonic told me during the build. We went with side by side for the extra cockpit space.
