Looking for a owner financed deal on a Sonic

I am Looking for a clean 31,35,or 38 Sonic 90K or less. I have 10K to put down and $800 a month to pay back. This deal would be kind of like a land contract with a 2 year or less pay back while you hold the title or have a lien on it. I have a great job makeing ove 100K a year. varrified income and Bank statements. My problem was a Divorce 2 years ago that fowled up my Credit a bit. I have about a 660 credit rating. If anyone knows a source or has any ideas I am open to listen. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

jeff32 11-19-2008 05:02 PM

mmm...curious to see how many could deal that way... Hope it works out for you anyway!

45sonic 11-19-2008 05:25 PM

I'll get back in touch with you shortly

45sonic 11-19-2008 05:31 PM

Take a look at this one.

http://www.yachtworld.com/core/listi...&&ywo=ecmbinc&

A few of us know the history of this boat (all good) and the current owner is willing to listen to a possible deal.

26sonic 11-19-2008 07:14 PM

take a look at the 2003 31 sonic that was repoed by lab marine inc. for $69k it looks great and could probably be gotten for a steal!!!!

East Coast B 11-20-2008 10:02 AM

31ss at Lab Marine was is pretty sad, whoever owned it apparently took some good hits when docking. Various points around boat show some definitive stress cracks from impact. Didn't get inside boat or view motors.

As we all know, for right price!!!!

And when you want to buy a car do you just go to Walmart and stand in the parking lot waiting to make a deal on any car in the lot? Good luck with your owner financing, I am sure there is someone on here that would love to give you a $100,000 boat for $10,000 dawn and hold there breath for the payment. But wait if you dont pay then they get it back right? Beat to crap worth about a third of what it was when they gave it to the guy with the outstanding credit. LOL:Whatever:

Can anyone give me an idea of the kind of speed I could expect with the right prop on a 97, 27' Fever with a 500HP EFI motor?

Nawwwww Just thought he was funny. i am PMS ing LOL

45sonic 11-21-2008 09:16 PM

Usually you know what type/brand of boat you want and go after it. The wide range of choices is really weird. All good boats but completely different. And now questions about a boat not in the size range originally asked about. Quit wasting my time. I actually made some serious inquiries on your behalf with a real owner who is willing to listen and help.

GO4BROKE 11-22-2008 09:15 AM

It's a creative idea, I'm interested to see if it works. The range of boats may relate to broadening the number of interested owners. I actually have a guy at work that wants me to do a similar deal for him. I figure if you don't have the credit (I'm sure you need to be north of 700) for a normal loan, then it would be a very high risk to hold the loan. I also had a divorce screw up my credit for a while, it happens, But I would be leary. My friend at work actually told me if it was a choice between paying for fuel or the payment he would choose the fuel! Guess that explains his credit. At his age I had a house, 5 cars, a $100K boat, and snowmobiles. Its all about how you manage your money. I may still have to work when I'm 110, but I'll have nice stuff!

carrboy 11-22-2008 09:40 AM

Just save your pennies, or beer cans, and pay cash for a 386 like I did:ernaehrung004:

pachanga 11-22-2008 08:27 PM

Damn there are a few hard asses here! I'm not knocking the guy. The 1st big spread I bought(land and house) had to be owner financed! LOL...I'm sure the F'r was hoping I couldn't make the payments. Owned the place 6 years and sold to a developer for a tiddy bit into the 6 figure profit range. Had ta sell cause of a divorce....couldda done better. Sold the 1st day it was listed.

Looking for anything from 200 to 20,000 square feet would prefer somewhere warm not to cold and on the water. Let me know whatcha got?:party-smiley-004:

I love this guy enjoy the free boat.

runafever 11-25-2008 09:58 AM

Just to let you know I did speak to this guy multiple times on the phone about my 38. He was very cordial and professional on the phone and made his intentions and his situation very clear. At no time did I get an uneasy feeling or believe he was not a real buyer. Everyones situation is different from every other. I just saw a guy that wanted an offshoreboat again and was willing to do whatever it took to get back into the hobby. His proposal to me is not unheard of. It was just not for me. Sonic38 is for real so lets not chastise him for his limited number of posts or his questions regarding a different boat. Lots of luck with the new boat and welcome back to this great hobby.

Guess this shows how gun shy everyone is with all the fraud going on lately. And there is a lot of it! Unfortunately the serious persons get a bad rap..
