31 Sonic speeds
 

How fast would a 31 be with twin 365hp motors. Did Sonic put hydraulic steering on standard at a certain hp or was it always an option?

I've got twin 454 mag carbs with 23" 3 blade props.... Best I have seen is a tad over 68 on GPS in freshwater. Imagine Hyd steering is an option under a certain HP....

What year is your boat? Do you have hydraulic steering?

1994, no hydraulic steering. Proman has 94 with 502 carb and no hyd steering and Go Propless has 97 502mpi no hyd steering..... I've even seen the 496ho without Hyd steering, though most opted for it.... haven't seen 500's without hyd steering.


Are you in the market for older 31's????

I had a '97 with 365's. World record was 69.1 gps. Most days 67-68 gps. I had labbed 24" bravo 1's. no hyd. steering.

There was a guy selling brochures on ebay. We had an '86 33SE years ago...great boat! Good luck with it!

If you buy a 31 and it runs faster than 70 and you do not have hydraulic steering you have a death wish.(It will come true)
