Since I had some intrust in the decals I had done for my truck, im going to get some made. If you want one post which of the sizes you want and qty. I can do paypal or money orders(email me so I can send my address). Going to take orders till March 8 after that I will send the order and ship when they get them done. davisj80 < a > hotmail.com

Bring a pic to any place that does vinyl signs. Prices usually aren't too bad.

Guys here is what a local vinyl shop in my area wants to produce the Sonic decal. Seems awful expensive.

To confirm the price to produce the 15.5" full color decals as follows. Set up $25.00


1 decal @$ 75.00 per decal

2 decals @$ 60.00 per decal

4 decals @$ 50.00 per decal

We need to get a group and order a bunch (from a reasonably priced source).
Any ideas?
I'm going to keep "shopping" in my area. There's got to be better pricing out there.

Well guys it's been awhile with still no luck on the decal.
The shop that quoted me the prices above backed out of the project after reviewing the electronic art a second time. The guy said at the size I've requested the logo would be very "grainy". They can't run a test sample because then they would actually be producing a decal and would have to charge me the full price.
The problem all the vinyl sign shops explain to me is the art I provide them with is not a high enough resolution file. This art was supplied to me by Kimberly of Sonic. It is a 128kb jpeg. The vinyl shops I spoken with tell me they need "vectored" artwork. Kimberly, however, does not have this. Sonic's logo is made from "vectored" art so it does exist somewhere and with someone? Where do I go about attaining this file?
Jim D. what electronic art did you provide to your vinyl guy? Can I use yours? The best way to drive the cost down per decal is take orders for a large quantity (sounds like what you did). I'm sure there are more guys than just me that want more of these.

I just used the sticker I bought from the Sonic website and had them scan it.

I'm going to have to get the name of your sign maker because I not only gave them the electronic file Kimberly at
Sonic provided me with, but that same exact decal you did. All three of the vinyl sign guys I talked to said the same thing. If you enlarge to the size I wanted (somewhere in the neighborhood of between 16 -18" wide, it would just to "grainy" whether you scan the decal or use the electronic art. They indicated I wouldn't be happy with the quality. They all said they needed "vectored" art (high resolution). Perhaps these sign guys (because they're in the business) get too particular. Not really sure.
We need some "vinyl sign experts" here on the forum.
I'm going to keep trying. Don't need the decals until spring. don't want to put them on here in winter with all the snow and sloppy condtions here in IL
