Bow hatch screens

Wondering where I can get some removeable insect screen grilles for the bow hatches. The few times we sleep on the boat, it would be nice to have an insect screen in the hatch to prevent bugs from coming in. I looked at a few of the catalogs I have and nothing seems to be the right size.

I would prefer a snap in type grille that can be removed when wanted and stored.

I made my own...

Bought the Aluminum screen framing, screen material, end connectors, vinyl spline and velcro at lowes.

On my 26, the only way to make the screen work, was to hang it from the hatch frame underneath with the velcro.

Its not perfect, but it keeps the bugs out. I store it under the v-berth cushon when we dont need it.

I bought screens for large bomar hatches then used snaps screwed in with the screws that hold the hatch trim to the deck. The screens fit inboard of the snaps and have a somewhat flexible frame. Easy in and out.
The ultimate fix was a 386 with AC and Heat.

GoForBroke may be able to post some pics of the set up when he reads this. He has my old boat.

My first question is what Sonic do you have?? Our boat is very hard to put screens in, but then again we have AC. Being that you are in WI your boat may not have that option

Then the website posted by Sydwayz is what you are looking for. You can make your own if want either using velcro or snaps to hold the nylon screen cloth in place.
