fuel tanks on 31SS

Ok guys, has anyone accessed the fuel tanks on a 31SS? Do you just unscrew the screws in the floor, cut the silicone and pick them up?

Something is wrong with the port side fuel pickup where it goes into the switch valve and I need to replace it.

Anyone have any helpful hints, tips, or tricks?:grinser010:

Ok, well I guess I'll just dive in head first and report back.

I don't know about pulling up the floor. My 31 had pirelli on the sole. It also had an access hatch to get at the fuel senders. It was located under the back seat.

Man that would be ideal. I'll check it this weekend. Thanks.

Mine seems to have a similar problem I plan on getting rid of the switch and just pulling off both tanks all the time... It would be nice if I had time to replace my fuel pressure regulators to

There is an access panel under the rear seat. To get to the tanks themselves you have to remove the bolsters, the rear bench, unscrew the floor, cut the silicone and lift. I had to cut the rear bulkead to get the tanks out.

As long as I can get to the senders, I think I can fix my issue there. I did check yesterday and found the access hole.
