Running Power wire stbd. to port for GPS ??

Going to be installing my new Garmin 640 this weekend.......will be installing in front of the passenger where I see most 35' Sonics have it. Question is if anyone is familiar with getting wiring to the other side for power and ground ? Is there a tube that runs across ? Under headliner ? go all the way back throuh the bilige then back up the tubes on the stbd side ? Anyone ever done this I would like to know how you did it.........thanks in advance.....................John.

I would think that there's already a power source on the port side for the stereo you could tap into. I can't remember if there's a power distribution block. However, to answer your question, yes there is a PVC tube that runs under the floor. At least there is on a 31SS. I would assume Sonic builds them the same. I used a fish tape to route some wires through it when I added an external GPS guage to my Garmin.
