Changes going on at Sonic?

If this has been addressed already my apologizes.

I noticed that Sonic's website is rather "plain" compared to what it used to be. It was really 'flashy" with the music and great photos etc... Gave the brand the appearance of being a series offshore boat brand (not that it truly isn't). The old site (I felt at least) personified the "Florida" offshore scene. Further, it appears that all the profiles of the personel have been removed. Are they all gone? Has Sonic's ownership/ management changed drastically? Is this website just temporary? Maybe I'm the only one that percieves this.
Thanks
Steve -

I don't think anything has changed but the web site. I think the corporate owners @ CSI are cost cutting.

I'm not one of those stuck on a brand flockers like some!

That 38 is one sweet package! Checked it out and test drove it a couple years back, it's a real nice boat.

Ginger would look good sportin' a little gold Lightning Bolt chain! Step on over here to the dark side, would give the Fountain haters a whole new target! And me a little break!!! :drink:

You in the Bay for the 4th?

I wish!! I have a wedding to be at on Sat.:drink:

Sonic did just open up a new showroom facility and I know they have been super busy with that. Lolli is excellent to deal with but I always have a hard time getting answers back from Bruce that she doesn't know. I know they are much smaller scale than someone like outerlimits but I beleive Bruce spends a ton of personal time on the builds and not sitting in the office.

Great seeing you Bob! We will be on Oneida this weekend, but hopefully heading up to the GO4BROKE bay sometime this summer.

You both are welcome anytime. I keep the big boat in the garage for the Saturday crazyness. We are launching Sunday if all goes to plan.

I heard today that Sonic is now owned by Frisini Motorsports. Are the Dakota CC's and Mares cat still owned by CSI?

FuelinAround 09-07-2010 03:29 PM

I saw yesterday that sonic is in works of a new website. Talked to loll and bruce last week and they never mentioned a buyout. Not sure what's going on

New Owners

J.B. Marshall 09-07-2010 04:06 PM

It does'nt seem like Sonic has built any new sizeable boats (42/45') for a while now, they continue to use the same 2 models for marketing they built a couple of years ago.

JUPITER PULSARE 09-07-2010 04:57 PM

Could it be that everyone misses Jay Ross???

FuelinAround 09-07-2010 05:31 PM

So from what I have understood Bruce was the owner? Did he sell out or just allow someone else to come a major shareholder and he is president. Who started the company?

1MOSES1 09-07-2010 07:18 PM

sonic was bought by tony frisini...

i have more info but i dont know if they want me disclosing anymore information...

45sonic 09-07-2010 09:34 PM

Sold to Tony details to follow once they get them more ironed out

Lines and sizes of boats to be determined

FuelinAround 09-07-2010 10:38 PM

I hope they keep their old crew around. It is helpful to be able to talk to the guys who actually built my boat 21 years ago

FuelinAround 09-07-2010 10:38 PM

Who is tony frisni exactly?

1MOSES1 09-08-2010 06:58 AM

Who is tony frisni exactly?
he just recently purchased spectre...he operates a dealership out of brick nj. he has ties to proroc racing. i beleive he also owns a successful construction company...

his success and interest in boats have evolved into becoming a performance boat company owner...he has done some good things with spectre. i expect sonic to follow.

i spoke with one of his colleagues a few weeks ago...i know the potential plan for sonic but i dont want to disclose the information as i dont know if the details have been finalized.
