Charlie,
I doubt it will be that exciting, but it will be a lot of fun. We had some 3-4's on one leg of the run last year, the 2 sonics (38 and 31) smoked everyone, except a top gun with bigger power, by about a mile.[/QUOTE]

UH......ummm.....yeah, that's how it happened. You must have never seen the 41 Apache then.:lolhit:

Oops ! My bad, you were talking about the slow group. Carry On !:evilb:

GO4BROKE 03-23-2011 07:30 PM

Your kinda right KellyO. I saw that apache briefly at 1 stop. Never saw it again! I think he was running a lot farther north, I forgot about him you're right.
If I remember correctly, during the roughest leg, it was me, Tony, and the cig, by a LARGE margin. Then 1/2 way to that card stop it layed down a little and all of a sudden just about the whole fast group came rockin by. We don't get to be fast often, but its fun while it lasts.

GO4BROKE 03-23-2011 07:32 PM

I knew that comment would generate some attention!:lolhit:

GO4BROKE 03-23-2011 07:33 PM

And as Tony reminded me, we had a head start on the fast group for that leg.

It was need the card stop that I noticed the fast boats catch up. Yes they started from a different gap more north. All I can say is we got a great start in the rough **** and had great fun running the lake. I have pictures and video showing we where there with little company. Many guys where telling me they got beat up. Not the case here. It was great Sonic water.

Sorry, did not mean to start trouble. Did a search of forums earlier today for "Buffalo" and saw the post. Can't wait to go back to this great event. Last year the lake was a blast !

Sonics are great boats and I hope many attend that we can all run with and admire.

See you all in August, or maybe sooner at another great NY event.:drink:

GO4BROKE 03-23-2011 08:03 PM

What! You're not on this forum every day! Unthinkable!:lolhit:

No trouble, other than the damn snow on the ground.

Date Picked for a Buffalo Event.

I am planning a Sonic event on Sunday August 14th following the Buffalo Poker Run. This way we could attend a major event, that is very reasonable ($180) along with meeting up for a Sonic Event. There are many Sonics already attending this run so we should get a great turnout. If anyone wants to help plan or has any ideas just message me.

I have many options for a dinner or party after a great day of boating. We have great waterways for any boating condition. Attached is the link to the Buffalo Poker Run http://powerboatingwny.com/poker_run.html
