31 SS Ignition Question
 

Hey Guys:

2007 31SS twin 496HO's, port engine when I turn the key will barely crank over, when I return the key to the off position and wait a few seconds then retry it fires right up strong. I have load tested the batteries and they are strong any ideas ?

Sounds like a possible starter problem... Have you tested the draw when the problem occurs vs. when it starts ok?

Starter is likely on the way out. Check the voltage drops on the cables, check the connections before you buy a starter.

Thanks guys I was leaning starter too....the Chesapeake Bay was rough as hell this weekend so tomorrow is a fix it day for everything that rattled loose so I will check the connections and draw on the starter tomorrow.
