Cockpit Interior Reupholster Ideas

I'm planning on having the upholstery on my 31SS redone this winter. Please post some pics of your cockpit upholstery so I can get some ideas.

Also, I want to have the Sonic logo embroidered across the sun deck. Does anyone know of a place that does large sized embroidery work? My local place says they can only do up to about 18" wide.

Any suggestions on upholstery are appreciated as well. Thanks!

There is a place in Sarasota Florida that has done a few Sonic refits.

Ill have to go thru my info to find them. Saw pics of some of the work. Great work ! I beleive they can do anything you want.

I used PPI interiors on mine they did a great job. They were doing some work for Sonic, and came recomended from Sonic. Contact Jim (941-752-6271) he is the owner. He takes meticulous notes on what is going on with your individual situation, and can make changes or do custom work. He and I came up with putting cup holders in the front bolsters corners edges. I use them more than any cup holder in the boat.

No, a friend of mine helped me pull everything. (It only took two hours). I pulled the seams myself. We crated everything up and sent it to Jim. They used the old vinyl as patterns. We reinstalled everything. It turned out great. You will see it at the big Sonic run.

Thanks guys! I will give him a call. 45SS, if you don't mind me asking, how much did it cost to have yours done? Also, do you have a link to some pictures of the finished job?

Look on page 19 of the Sonic fourm. Jim Diesel posted some finished pictures for me. Read the posting and ask Jim about the diffrent ways you can do things. They will have an effect on the price, not trying to sidestep you shipping and quality of the material all come in to play.

I completely understand. Thanks again, I'll take a look.

Their is a picture of mine. It has been two full seasons now. Things are holding up great. Check out the cup holders that Jim installed in the front bolsters. Yes they have a drain the bottom to allow moisture to run out. Chris in our Sonics we have enough room inside to install the stripper pole inside the cabin.

Here is my 31 done by PPI two years ago. Jim and his crew do great work.

I hadn't thought of that John. Thats a great idea! I think I need to work on a removeable stripper pole between the lounges:evilb:. The facing lounges will make a great spot to watch the show.
