45 triple 575 in OSO classified

How fast you think this boat can run with 575's? I'm I wrong thinking 575's are not the engines everyone wished they had?

Even if there is a lot of Value in mecanic in this boat, what do you think this boat is really worth as a selling price? how much would you guys write a check for?

it's been for sale for a long time and the price has dropped alot

jeff32 03-11-2012 08:33 AM

He played a little bit of American football... Google him, there might be an article out there. :lolhit: Looks like a lot of boat for the money!

45SS 03-11-2012 08:47 AM

There is one here one the Potomac. I personally know him, he is an x boat racer he claims 93MPH. That is with factory installed Imco extension boxes, no labbed props, and bone stock 575's. I now own his old 45.

GO4BROKE 03-11-2012 09:30 AM

If I remember correctly, that boat was originally listed at $180K. I think $96K is a pretty competitive price, assuming its in good condition.

jeff32 03-11-2012 06:59 PM

why would a 1999 formula 42 triple 500 EFi not sell for... months on OSO classified at 75 k, and this one sell around 100 k ??? 575 are worth that much more? I don't feel that...

give numbers guys! how much would you really write a check for???

45SS 03-13-2012 08:12 AM

Triple engine boats are impossible to get a loan on right now. You will have to pay for it outright.

Not true.... Go to your local credit union and talk to them, plus get better rates.

vagrant 03-13-2012 08:14 PM

I just wrote a check for a 2002 twin efi engine boat 220 hours and trailer it was in the 90's. Very well taken care of inside and out. It has external steering and ext boxes. If that help those are real numbers. My finds you get what you pay for unless you just find someone in need. I looked hard for 8 months and to me she is worth every cent Good luck

Thank you this is our second Sonic. Our first was a great boat 1996 42. We were involved in a road accident and she was totaled. I had her for 11yrs and completely redid her

There are three of us that have 45 ss in northern va. And southern md. Robin Harris who is one of the best in the industry at financing sport performance boats, can't get it done. The credit unions are going in 12 year loans. They also want collateral, I am not putting my house on the line for any boat.

Your right financing is tough the only way i was able to buy is my insurance money from my accident .

ozarkdevil 03-14-2012 11:09 AM

There are several factors involved in getting a boat financed, year, purchase price, down payment, credit score etc. etc.
I went from a 2X 40 outlaw to a 3X 47 fountain with no hassels. Local credit union would go 15yrs, loan 80% of NADA value & 4.75% interest. I have never heard of having to put your house up for collateral, that would be crazy. Also a 45' could be used as a second morgage.
Good luck with your search/purchase

Glad to see you got another one maybe ill get to meet up with you on the lake this year. boat looks awesome.

The biggest is the loan to value ratio. We bought our boat back when the economy was in great shape. We had to roll some into the loan in order to go bigger. I have not seen a credit union that will go 15 years. Mine is financially strong but only will do 12. With what is owed I am not willing to pull a second trust on my house. We can show $60,000.00 plus in cash receipts (engines upholstery transom plates) the whole nine yards they don't care.

sunchaser796 03-20-2012 07:26 PM

With triple 575 blower motors and efi, best I have seen is 85mph! And that with stelling boxes.

jeff32 03-20-2012 08:53 PM

a lot of HP for only 85 !!!:(

I am looking to finance a 34 baja, and they are giving me **** about it being a 2002. I have a credit rating in the HIGH 780's. any options i should try? BB&T and US Bank does not want to play ball.

I have 15% down. boat is only in the 60k range

Never been turned down in my life... pissing me off.

fandango 03-21-2012 12:43 PM

Vagrant, nice new ride! First I heard about your old boat being in an accident! Did that boat come from the Chesapeake? Looks like one my buddy had looked at. Told it was in perfect shape, if it's the same one. Awesome!

Have you tried a credit union? We bought an '02 31SS from another member here for less down (10%), similar credit rating and price. First performance boat for us too. Reading these stories I feel more fortunate with what we were able to pull off.

Vagrant--your boat(s) and rig are very nice.

Thank you, Credit unions seem to be the best to deal with at this time but loans are still tough on boats right now.
