WTB: prowler, A/T tantrum, 288 sunny

Looking to buy a tantrum or a sonic prowler or possibly a 288 sunsation, though sunny's are a bit out of my range. Got about 25k to spend, cash. An unfortunate housing situation doesn't allow me to get a loan at this time or id have the boat i really wanted already! id even make payments if the seller allows...anyways, ive scoured the net and there are some beautiful boats but many seem to be 5k out of my price range +/-. a tantrum is my first choice, but the prowler is right there, although, all the prowlers are WAY overpriced for the hardware under the hatch. Ive been looking for years, and the 98/99's used to go for 25-30k, and they were beautiful. if you have any leads, i'd appreciate it.
thanks!

Consider my 28 Apache for sale in the OSO classifieds. I will consider owner financing for the difference.

Depending on your needs.

The Prowler and the AT are good rough water boats, with lots of room allthough the AT is very narrow.

The sunny not so much. A buddy of mine has a 25 sunny good for two people and a cooler on flat water, not room in cabin and you crawl into it on your knees. Been in a 288 and it really not to much bigger.

Can't go wrong with the Sonic or AT

Hope this helps you out.

Sorry. Can't agree with that statement. I had a 2001 25 Sun and regularly ran it in 2-5 snot WOT for 300hrs. Not bad with 4 people. Same as 24 Pantera, Superboat etc... I also have a number of hours in 28 Sun and have been in a 28 Pan. Personally I prefer the 24 to the 28 because of beam and how well they ride. I could damn near do whatever I wanted and could predict the outcome.

Could a 25 Powerplay make your list?

been on both 26 sonic and 25 AT - not sure about the 288
the sonic feels bigger but the 25 AT is a hard boat to beat! incredible ride and just a nice sized boat.
given the choice between the 2, i would go with the 25 AT
never been on the 288 but love the looks of them!
good luck

I sold my 2001 prowled 496 ho 300 hours bravo drive, flawless, turn key 29k. I personally would go 288 Sunsation over the sonic. The sonic is a slllllooooooooowwwww hull. Porpouses a ton which can be controlled with trim tabs, but it slows you down and burns more fuel when cruising. Planes like a dog also. The build quality, look, cabin size and rough water capabilities are the good points of the boat. Second to none in quality department. Sunsation should be a good overall package. Better speed, decent ride quality and sharp looks. Go for 288 imo
