Rub Rail questions 358
 

When I bought my new to me 358 it had some rub rail damage. I ordered the flexible vinyl insert to redo the entire boat and a 43 foot section to repair the semi-rigid section of rub rail around the transom. It appears that Sonic used a 20' stick of the semi-rigid sections to do the transom area. my question is has anyone replaced the section of the rub rail around the transom? The flexible insert is pretty self explanatory. All answers and help is appreciated.

If youre talking about how to bend it around the corners, the instructions say to use a heat gun...

Yeah the heat gun is a must! I was looking for actual experience with a Sonic. For example what can i expect to have deal with once the rub rail is removed, IE filling screw holes and such.

Any help in this matter would be great as now after a mishap this past wknd:poopoo:.....I have to replace a section of my rubrail also!!! How many feet do you think i would need to do a prowler!?
