SSm V on 28 ss any thought ?
 

We have a 28 ss here whit a blown BB 890 hp and after 2 hrs the XR gave up ,now where thinking to get the SSM 5 from the shelf and put that on whit the trans build in the stand off box .

Any one have experience whit big power and a SSM drive on a 28 SS whit or whit out stand off box ?

FYI,........I used to run a 31' Sonic
and if I still had the boat I would convert it to the same
set up as Check300's boat.

It works that well!

whats the made off the prop on the checkmates ssm 6 ?

how fast did she run befor the drive gave up? i have a 28ss im about to put 720HP in.

we got it to 84 mph for a moment

but think it will do 80 all day if the drive stays in one piece .

I believe Bill had Mercury make that for him.
Runs in the triple digits (mph )
