well changing out the motor mounts, going to offshore style and striped and painted the bilge


Here was my old motor mounts

with motor mounts out, I'm setting in a donor motor with my new offshore plate, ready to mock it up. and align the engine combo

I made the alum stringer mounts out of 6" angle 1/2" thick and cut it to make it look like an original - just a little or maybe alot more beefy, maybe an over kill but oh well.

more of my over kill, with a 1/4" of alum plate for a backing plate, this baby isn't going anywhere!!

all the junk taken out, cleaned up, holes filled in and painted, now just waiting for my lazy butt to finish the motor and drop it in!!

I left out all the details of doing this job, I didn't want to bore everyone, I just gave you guy's the highlights but if anyone has any questions, I'll be more than happy to try and help if anyone is thinking of doing this kind of project.

I'll update my progress as I go along, but just a warning I'm SLOW....... Just so I make it for spring time boating year 2013, I have to put the year cause my friends know me to good. They know I never finish anything, so now I have a time line to shoot for. :lolhit:
