Default Dumb Power Steering Question

OK, I'm thinking about going with either internal or external hydraulic steering (HS) on the Prowler. I just ordered a Teleflex Pro internal for my 60HP Evinrude OB. A good friend, who is a waterman, said that is the best thing he ever did for his carbbing boat. He has worn out 3 HS units but he has nothing but praise for them.

So I know I will have to remove the OEM PS unit and cables. My question is do I remove the OEM PS pump? If so, is there a pulley assembly to replace it so the belt will still work or is there a new belt required.

Any info would be appreciated.

I'd contact IMCO. I think you can use the PS pump you have just rub different lines to the new system. If not they can advise you as to what you would need to do.
