anyone know this Sonic? im interested in the Capri, saw it on ebay and the boat caught my eye. The cars a nice example, the 86 was the last year for the Capri and only year with efi. Tracked down one of the original 1985 Detroit Grand Prix IV Pace Car Capris but missed it by a day. Been lookin for one of these for a while . . . .

5.0 nothing crazy I think maybe two hundred somthin hp. My cousin had one when I was in high school, got to drive it a couple times and have just aways wanted one. The 86 is kinda one off with intake and heads that were unique (still interchangeable and serviceable) My cousins was an 85 but I would rather have efi and I also like the 85 wheels better (although I do like these) This is one of the nicer ones ive see advertised. Im looking for one that is period correct and has all the efi still in tact.

Awesome looking "unicorn" Dave. Go for it. You likely will not find another.

I am a big fan of nearly all T-Top cars (screw the imports, but I even like the Cordoba with them). I'd love to find a 1977 Monte Carlo with T-Tops and swivel seats to put my ZZ502 in. I never knew the Capri existed with T-Tops and EFI. I think the T-Tops on the Mustang were discontinued in 1987 which makes for a rare model since they got the new front end that year. I nearly bought a 1977 Lincoln Mark-V with T-Tops this summer.

Wasn't tbi available on 85's? I thought I worked on one in high school that was a 4eye with throttle body infection ( yes infection lol)

Ford didnt use TB except on a few vehicles. They held out a bit for EFI and SEFI

now yer talkin! mid to late seventies odd ball T top cars :D oh sure Camaros an TA's are great an all but gimmie the not so run o' the mill stuff. I forgot about those swivel buckets how flippin cool was that. A friend of mines parents had a sweet blue Cordoba with T's that I remember well.

I found one of these in a bone yard several years ago. One of seven made by GM to test the concept. it was totalled in the front end and I bought the mint white leather interior out of it. I asked about buying the roof clip because I knew it was something special and should be preserved. They said I could have it for two hundred so I told them id be back for it. in the mean time I found some previous owner info in the glove box and contacted him. He sounded kind of surprised and told me that it was supposed to have been scrapped/crushed. I went back a week or two later and it was gone . . . . true story.

God the Eldos were ugly.

My dad bought a Coupe deville in 76 that exact color combo in and out with the landau roof.
He just got rid of it about a year ago. Being it was from Michigan originally it looked good from 50 feet but it was rusting everywhere .
