anyone know this Sonic?
I've been going back and forth between buying a project vs turn key and came across this:
http://chicago.craigslist.org/sox/boa/4828232021.html http://chicago.craigslist.org/sox/boa/4828232021.html first and foremost whichever path I choose, I want it to be a good rough water hull. Thanks! Jimmy |
I would pass that's more than project, that's a dumpster boat. A better bet than buying that pig would be take 75 K go to Vegas and put it down on black or red. Either you double you money or its gone in 3 seconds - this would surely be a lot faster getting over the 3 year pain of getting that turd lake ready. Just saying and trying to get you to steer clear of that cash burner.

"New Interior" Thats funny right there...12 couch pillows for a hatch pad!
Also "Bullet Proof Drives, good for 2000hp"? Im not even sure what they are! But I would venture to say that is a stretch! Im inclined to agree with BUP. Thats a ton of work and money to have a 81' Sonic. |
+1!
many other project boat worth the look but not this one! |
Hahaha, man do you fellas have a way with words!
I will steer clear, and thank you. I've been going back and forth between a Pantera 24 and a Carrara SS7M, but happened upon said turd and had to ask :) |

I got a turn key one if you go that route.
That "project" just needs to be put in a wood chipper. |
I agree with all the above. Note the link for a good boat represented buy a quality dealer.

A guess only but with the pick up cleaned up and the right props mid 70's should be a very easy #. |

Best of 71mph and I ran out of prop. Needs a slightly bigger and finished prop from Bblades. I am also dragging my water pickup for the boats tach, it actually hangs rather low and disrupts the flow.

Hi Nate,
Your very welcome. I've always had Sonic's and hoping to buy a new 38' in 2016. Cheers, M. |

Hi Nate,
I'm back to Clearwater every 4 to 6 months due to business and my Mom & Dad down in Sarasota. My old 386 Sonic was sold to some lawyer in Tampa, so you should see it running around the local waters. I wish i had here with me in Hong Kong. Cheers, Mick |
