I rigged boats at the factory in Hollywood back in the late eighties. Your father really took pride in these boats. He would always walk through the shop inspecting and offering hands on advice on how to install components properly , safely ,and efficiently . I picked up many good work methods /habits that have remained with me through the years. Sometimes I see pictures of new boat builds at high end manufacturers on this sight and think - if Jay Ross saw that airhose or hand / power tools lying on that deck unprotected ... I really enjoyed working with the guys and hope all is well!!!

I'm sure we met at some point. My sister and I spent a lot of time at the factory in the summer. It's pretty cool to here from someone that used to work there. Your comments sum up my dad very well. Thank you.
|
Can I ask your name? I would love to pass this along to him. I think he would appreciate it.

My name is Bill Diggens and I worked for your dad in the late eighties as a rigger / engine and drive installations. Lee Harmon was foreman ,Steve Lopez , Timmy , Jeff , Dale the englishman. After I went out on my own ,your father was kind enough to let me use the spray booth to paint my 28' Magnum race boat, which I really appreciated .
I remember being introduced to you at the shop . Big Steve the truck driver said "this is Jay's son " I said "whats his name?" , he says " Jason" ,I say "I know he's Jay's son , whats his name ?" |
:santa:

Jason. I have an arch off a 45. Good condition with only a small chip at the base. I'm asking $300. I can email you or text you some pictures.
