I have a Performance trailer, made in Lake George NY. I'm not overly thrilled with it. My next will be Eagle, Myco, or Extreme.

My 42 rides on Myco. Real nice trailer. Expensive but worth the investment. You dont want an expensive nice boat sitting & riding on a cheap trailer, that wont support the hull properlyor carry the weight, and have insufficient braking..... You are asking for problems. A month or so back, one of the performance boating mags featured an overview of several trailer manufactuers. Very enlightning, and informative.

You may want to check out the salty dog boat magazine. There is a trailer maker in VA Beach, that will custon make you a trailer for a reasonable price & then deliver it to you for $150.00. Have never heard anything bad about them. CUSTOM also makes a real nice trailer. Always advertise in Poker Runs America Magazine...... Check it out.

Do you know the name of the trailer manufacturer in VA Beach?

CheckmateF1 had one built by American High Performance Trailers. They delivered it to Richmond, VA for him.

VERY GOOD setup, and lifetime warranty, (see website). Definately go for upgraded rims though.

Brian, my Towmaster/Nextrail has almost 10,000 miles on it and I have never had a problem. They are going to be the best price for your standard Alum. I-beam trailer. It is very sturdy and trailers very nice. I called 14 different places before I bought it and they had the best price and warranty.

If you want the fancy look to go along with the quality of course go with MYCO or Extreme.

Trailer Dealer/Manufactuer is S&S Marine Trailers in Norfolk Va. Toll Free- 1800-453-6053. I/we had talked with them 3-4 yrs ago for a trailer for my brothers boat. At that time had real good deals/trailers.

Also, the trailer review mentioned earlier was in POWERBOAT Magazine, page 52, August 2002 issue. Very informative article. If you PM me with a fax number, I will copy & send the entire article to you. They review 10 manufactuers, prices, warranty, options, etc.....6 pages long.
Will help you you make a very informed decision.

I'm dragging my 30ss around on a Myco, great quality and very sturdy.
The factory was great , when I bought my boat there was no vin on trailer (repaint).
I called down gave them the vin from the Mass reg and they sent me a new sticker so I could get past the Connecticut gestapo!

My 45SS is on a South Florida , I think is best trailor for the buck. No matter wich one you buy , The berrings are going to go bad , The lights are going to stop working and the brakes are going to last about a season, Just make sure you get stainless bolts, and no steel trailors in our area
