Don't be afraid to run fast, especially in rough, sloppy water, the faster you go the more stable the boat is. Your WOT rpm's should be 4600 to 5000, 4800 is OK. If I had to pick an exact speed for your boat I would guess 72 mph.
Congratulations!!

sorry for but'n in - 385 EFI mags are 4800-5200 rpms, sounds like he might be propped to large unless he had a "normal" full load.

Sorry Kentz..... Go4broke had it right 4600-5000 rpm....

Here's a spec sheet....
http://www.boatinginternational.com/...454_magmpi.htm

I believe the 377 6.2 has a max 5200rpm range which is 350hp and I believe the 320hp version does as well.

How's that Viper treating you???

hmmmm... I could have swore my 97 was 48-52:eek: , oh well, it ran great at 5000:D

Actually it was loaded down full of fuel, water, beer, and 5 people.

I didn't get a chance to get it on the GPS this weekend. I somehow broke an engine cupler on my port engine. It still is under warranty. I just hope this is a covered item. I'm trying to find a place to fix it now. There's a guy in Pasadena, MD named Jim Benny at Advanced Marine who has done all the work on this boat. The only problem is he has a full shop so I'm looking for another shop. Any Suggestions? I'm in the Edgewater, MD area.

Once fixed, I'll get it on the GPS.

Congrats on new boat. I would call Offshore-Performance for work on your boat. They are graet people to deal with. Talk to John Wilmoth he is the service manager.
