Update Yuor Cabin Interior
 

HEY SONIC PEOPLE IVE JUST COMPLETED A 2 YEAR RESTOATION ON 1991 27 SONIC.IN THE CABIN I TOOK OUT THE OLD SHOWER HEAD CURTAIN THAT THEY CALL A DOOR. REPLACED IT WITH A KING STARBOARD FRAME AND DOOR. I MADE A TEMPLATE AND IT WAS FABRICATED DEAD NUTS . IVE GOTTEN A LOT OF COMPLEMENTS FROM OTHER BOATERS.ALSO REPLACED THE BLACK GAUGES PANELS WITH WHITE.NEW INTERIOR NEW GRAPHICS.FOR YOUR INFO THE BOAT GRAPHICS WERE UGLY YELLOW AND LIME GREEN I FOUND OUT THROUGH TRIAL AND ERROR THAT THE GRAPHICS WERE EMRON WITH A CLEAR COAT. I USED A FIBERGLASS STRIPPER AND PUTTY KNIFE IT TOOK ALMOST 60 MAN HOURS TO DO THE DECK AND SIDES THEN WET SANDED AND BUFFED YOU COULD BARLEY SEE WHERE THE OLD GRAPHICS WERE AND WITH THE NEW ONE YOU WOULDNT TELL UNLESS YOU KNEW.

I hate the "shower curtian" door to the head. Please post pics when you can. I would like to see how you did it! Thanks.

With the bigger, older Sonics, that came with the "Shower Curtain" door, the newer model full door is a direct bolt on/in replacement.

The Shower Curtain door does make the salon seem bigger/ more open when you first step down into the salon, but when it comes time to use the head for its intended purposes, I agree, a regular/full door would be/is better.

Just my .02

On my 31 I had Sonic use the same door that they use on the 358. It fits perfectly and works great! Soo much easier to use the head with the door.

hey guys back again also on my update notice the deck i removed the front bomar hatch it makes the boat sleeker looking.and besides when i did the interior over it was easy enough to fiber glass.
