diamond plate in the engine area

While I have the engines out of the boat I was thinking that I may have some diamond plate installed. Has anyone else done this to a 31SS? If so do you have any pictures? All advice appreciated.

Thanks,

ST31

Never seen any diamond plate in a 31. Have seen it in 38's & up. Not much room in 31 engine compartment compared to the larger boats. Would look nice, ( what little you could see, due to size ) but question is: is it woth the $$$, time, or any benefit, if any, of installing it.

Answer: Personal preference. Just something else to polish & clean, and would be hard to clean most of it, I would assume once engines back in.

I would paint the compartment a different color before I put diamond plate in a 31. Just an opinion.....

My "brother-in law" has diamond plate in his 31. I don't have any pics though. He installed it, not sonic.

Thanks. If you do happen to run across a picture I would love to see it. The engines are already ouyt of the boat and probably will be for the next 2 months.
