Speed on the water we only hit wot for a couple of sec's 1/2 tank fuel two people on board 82MPH on gps . Its the first 358 that we have and we were amazed that the speedo was within 1 MPH. Fred stated that we should see 85+ once broken in. |
I know of a 35 with 500s that hits 82. I think 85+ is reality once dialed in.

Thats a great price for a 386, if your available come to the mid atlantic show and check out our 358 and you can see the paint that we have selected from Sonic and all of our options. Its a darn good investment!! If you should require a 386 we will do our best to earn your business and respect!! |

I brought your question to our service manager and he stated that because the 525's are ecm controlled that the top speed will NOT change, he thinks that fred stated 85+ due to his testing on saltwater conditions, temps and driving habits, and the enviroment that he was in. We stand corrected!! PS: we did see 82MPH on fresh water on GPS |
Saltwater, 2-3' chop, light load, I think 85+ is possible. I'd rather a dealer under estimate speeds than over estimate.
The way this boat shows, I don't think the price is out of line. If you have the ability to afford this boat, then I think you have the skills to negotiate the price. |

Sonic had a 358 at the Miami show with HO's, fully equipped that MSRP'd at $226k and they were selling a load of em at $153k show only price!
The Sonic cabin makes my Outlaw look like a dingy.:( |
