Nose cones on a 31
When I had the motors done I also added nose cones on my bravos, so I can't compare before and after. Are they a benefit? I am in the upper 80s and low 90s on occasion. I am contemplating taking them off to see if they are helping or not.

Sounds like alot of work to take them off just to see if they work or not. Yours is one of the fastest 31's I know of why mess with it? You could always see if you could swap drives with a buddy for kicks I guess. I was under the impression that over 80 they help.

Ask Dano, I think he has 2 31's with 575's. If i remember correctly one has speemaster lowers. Again if memory serves when i talked to him in Ft Lauderdale he said it didn't make much of a difference. I'm sure if i am wrong he'll let you know.
I also don't see the point of taking them off. If it isn't broke it will be tomorrow, so just give it a day. |

What kind of cone? How was it installed?
Check your drive toe and your angle height. Then show us a pic running...The 31 hull design is about absoluted for what it is...minor touches sometimes deliver benefits but....give us some more data! Your running speeds close to what we do...I have no problem sharing data on what we have tried. Happy boating! |
