Carbon Fiber
Does anyone have any good pictures of the carbon fiber helm on the Sonics?
If they have them, what do you think of it? |

steve that looks great !! i'm in the process of getting those panels to upgrade my 1998 . can you show us a picture of the port side panel over top of the built in cooler ? do you also have the ignit panel also ?

26sonic, I think the panel upgrade would look great, I've got the plain laminate type panels now also. I just wonder what the wiring would end up looking like from behind after you swap out all those switches and gauges. I switched my Faria gauges to Gaffrigs and the wiring didn't look as neat after I got my hands on it! If Sonic used plug connectors it would be a snap, but I think everything is run from distribution blocks as I recall. I guess I'm being silly, but I think Sonic does such a clean job of routing the wires it's almost a shame to mess it up. What do you think or am I missing an easier way? Steve!

The 26 at the show looks AWESEOME with the purple panels, purple throttle/shifter, and purple IMCO steering wheel.

I agree:D It does look great. |
When we were at the Sonic Factory in January I got a quote to do our 1997 42 Sonic. Just the helm area was a total of 1600 dollars.

I switched my dash to the purple carbon fiber on my 42, which I purchaced from Linda at Sonic. I did not do the complete kit just what you see. I also changed the gauges and bezels from Faria to Gaffrig as well as the throttles and steering wheel all from Livorci. I just purchaced a Northstar gps/plotter 6000i which is this weekends project.
