34ss ?
 

What is a 34 ss is it an early 358 ? (how the 30ss is an early 31ss), or is it an entirely different model?

I believe the 34SS does not count the swim platform and was renamed the 35SS when everyone else started including the swim platform in their measurements.

Actually the old 28 is the new 31SS. Originally they did not count the swim platform in the overall length. So as far as your original question you are correct. However, the 41SE and 41SS though correct in length were renamed to the 42SS Go figure

43- So If my 30ss is 30.5 LOA and the new 31ss is 30.5 LOA where does the 28 come in??????

The 28 was the fill in sized boat. They needed a boat bigger than the 26 with twins but smaller than the 31. Basically it was a bastard boat (depending on who you ask)

Sonic made a 27 or a 30 model up to 1988-89 then they changed the model name to 28 and 31 counting the platform. The the new 31 is the old 30ss. The 27 or 28 was a available in single engine. They also made a 24 before the 26. The length of the boats 27-28 or 30-31 did not change, just the model name. As for the 34 it became the 35 but no length change. Hope this helps.

No I am boatless right now used to have a Donzi Z 22. I just have always been a fan of the sonics one nice boat.
