What speeds will a 2004/2005 31SS with HO's/500's run?

I think thats a little high mine runs 74 with 454's that make about 480 hp each my boats a 93 so it a little heavier....ask Dano he had the fastest 31 I ever heared of....

Went out last Friday in friends new 04 w/496ho's
We had two gps's garmin 180 fixed mount and 176c hand held
With full fuel two on board labbed 28's 77.6 .I can see 80 is very real
with a light fuel load. Speedo was reading in middle 80's
There were 2-4 footers.

roadrunner were the labbed 28's done by merc or someone else? and what rpm were you running ?

MERC DID THE PROPS. WHEN THEY WERE FINISHED WE HAD THEM LEAVE IN SOME OF THE CUP AS TO HELP FUEL MILEAGE AT CRUISING SPEEDS. WE ARE ABLE TO STAY ON PLANE @ 2600RPM & 30 PLUS MPH. THE BOATS RUNS 77.8 @ 5000 RPM ON GPS, SPEEDO READS 86 MPH.iN A SHORT RUN. THE BOAT CRUISES 45MPH @ 3000RPM. WE WILL TRY LAB 30'S AT SOME POINT, I THINK IT COULD HANDLE THEM BECAUSE THE ENGINES KEEP PULLING. SPEED #'S ARE WITH FULL FUEL TANKS,,WATER,GEAR & TWO PEOPLE SMILING. (EXCEPT WHEN ROADRUNNER WAS BOUNCING AROUND THE CABIN, SORRY BUD) AND, WE ARE STILL IN BREAK IN MODE.
