my buddy is looking at a 1994 31 with 502 mags we gps the boat it only went 62 on gps at 4700 rpms the said he is spinning 23 4 blade props.

what are you running, props and gps is this all it will do.

got 69.1 once
502's should be in the mid 70's
Sounds more like 330s'.

what props are you running on a 31 and with what power.

Are you sure about the 415 Carb? The fuel injected 502 is 415hp and the carb 502 is 390hp, unless the carb motors are hopped up a bit.

With 502 MPI's (415hp) a 31 will do about 72 - 73 mph.

I am currently running 496 Mags with 26P Bravo's.
