Or if someone can point me to a thread that discusses the bigger Sonics I would really appreciate it.. I have been surfering the older forums and haven't come up with anything..
Is the 42' Sonic an actual 42' foot boat.. I notice that the loa is 41'6" does that include the swimplatform? What is the actual running surface? Thanks for your help! |

Friend of mine has one before they added the swim platform.
Just a straight transome, measures 39' 9" from end to end. Great rough water boat, he has been running it for years and the boat always amazes me on what it slices through with that 25 degree deadrise. I'm sure his boat is built heavy for the year, but that boat is still Rock solid. Blown 588's 950hp. Cougarman |

The 42 is a great boat I had one for 4 years. Don't get one with one with less than 500's it.

2000 42 with Livorsi Extreme Charged 500 EFIs (making about 750 hp) XR drives. It rocks and has all the amenities for chillaxing with the wife.
This winter I'm either going to repower or trade down to an older Top Gun with bigger power. I'll tell you this, when Lake Michigan kicks up the stepped hulls stay in harbor while I go play. |
