the 26 acoording to the documentation is a true 26, the 31 according to the documentation is 30' 6''. Hope this helps you..

Yes, but they both have integrated swim platforms, so neither is a true length associated with hull in the water.

I own a 31ss, and just ordered a new cover for it. We used a tape and levels and came up with 30' 11'. Thats what we told the cover manafacturer. It fits perfect. So you guys with a 31 may want to check again. I was parked next to a 35 formula fast- tect this past summer and there was not 4' 6" diffrence.

john could you tell me more about your 31 ?e-mail me want to know year, engines , speeds, how it handles in rough water, I'm thinking of going to a 31 or 35 next.

It is a 31ss built for me (special order) by Jay Ross. It has two 500HP EFI'S. It run's real well. I have seen 82 GPS, it has air,ref. electric toilet,flat screen,. As for the rough water it rocks.

It's a 2003, not much to see it is all white, with sonic racing on the sunhatch in yellow and purple, and yellow and purple pads.

I have a 31 and believe it is real close to being 31 feet with the integrated swim platform as well.

I heard that the Sonic 45 is actually a 42 footer with a 3 foot swim platform - no difference in the main hull mold
