Is a 30SS the exact same boat as a 31?

Last question for now, would a late 80's 30SS weigh the same as a latter 90's or were they heavier?

Hi folks. Just wandered into the forum. Going to nose around a bit before I start mindlessly posting questions, but I'm looking forward to meeting some of you guys. Have had my 33 since it's birth in '88...we are growing old together gracefully.:drink:
