LCPR information,
There has been some conversation about people not signed up for the PR, not being able to get on the State Dock, or going to the kick ass after party.
Here's the deal, as I understand it. Last year there was a lot of local kids crashing the party where alcohol is served, generously :drink: . As you may know this is a dry county, and the organizers are trying to keep this party under some control.
In an attempt to do so, they will be selling armbands for $20 that will allow us to go to the afterparty and hang out on the dock. I plan to go to State Dock on Friday and pick up armbands for my crew, and check out the rides.
BTW, if you haven't made reservations yet, I would do so ASAP. There's nothing left at the State Park, and no houseboats available at the State Dock (maybe next year?).
Several of us are staying at the Best Western in nearby Albany, KY (intersection of hwys. 127 and 90). Their # is 606-387-7238. I get the impression they don't have many rooms left.

Hey Steve....does that mean you can get into the after party WITHOUT entering the Poker Run...??? We aren't entering the run but might do the party. We have reservations at the Best Western for fri & sat night. We will be on the water sometime early friday morning. I am glad you reminded me about it being a dry county. I will have a 30 gal bag of liquor along with my 30 gal bag o beads! Look for us at State Dock Friday....we'll be there drooling all over the boats as well.

Don't forget the booze, I can't imagine anything worse than being at 76 Falls or the after party sober :eek: :rolleyes: ...
Last stop for alcohol is a little dump on the TN side of the state line called Static, TN.
