Cool boat man, what's it run with the 383? My first go-fast was a 1992 24 Python, ran really good in a heavy chop and held up well. It had a first gen 502 390hp fun boat and was plenty fast for me.

Great history lesson George!!! I knew the 18’ bubble deck jets were built in Michigan. I still have a brochure/flyer from way back when. I also no the 24x7’s were made in Georgia. Was it the same owners or two completely different company? My dad had a ~93’ 24. Crazy thing it was a jet drive. It actually ran real well.

thanks! Jim Clark was the original owner of the company, and he moved it down to Buford Georgia sometime in the late 90s early 2000s from what I understand. His partner Tom McNabb operates out of a Shop in Morris Illinois. I know Jim passed away in 2006, but Tom is still around. The boat you saw in the pictures I posted is the same boat that I used to ride in when I was a kid, and the last time I rode in it was when I was 14/1992. It took me 25 years to find it, and it is the exact same boat! I never thought I would be the owner today, but everything happens for a reason!

Thanks Tex! It runs very well with the 383 and a bravo one drive! Sounds amazing too having Corsa exhaust with captains choice. This boat took me 25 years to find it is the very same boat that I rode in when I was a kid! So I wanted to ensure that the right products were used during the restoration, as well as to upgrade it into the new millennium! I even had the steering wheel relocated from the left side to the right side so we could use better quality components, as most of today’s boats are predominantly, right hand drive.

I plan to showcase the python at classic boat shows in the summer of 2023.

I guess you can make it 5. I registered here after finding this thread while doing some research on a relatively local for sale ad. Listed as a 1978 19' Python with a 350 and an Alpha One outdrive.

I tried to upload the photos, but the system says that I can't post URLs with under 10 posts. It looks just like your boat except for some minor trim differences, but the lower hull is yellow.

I have a 1991 24 that was all white I wrapped in a 90s Marlboro wrap installed airride race seats and it has a built 540 with bravo x drive. I run it on sacandaga.

Yes, it was the same owner for both locations. Both Romulus Michigan and Buford, Georgia, python boats. Inc. was owned by Jim Clark.
